Cookie Monsters

Hi girls

After our discussion in Lit Club I would like you to have another go at ‘The Investigator’ role. Think about what we talked about:

* Selecting a specific topic from your book to research

* Summarising the information after you have done some research

* Creating an information piece in your own words and NOT cut and paste

Your homework is due on Thursday 28th November

**Any questions don’t forgot to ask me! : )

Here is the instructions again….

THE INVESTIGATOR

Many times when we read, we encounter new and unfamiliar ideas. It might be a

location, it might be a time period, it might be someone’s job or a way of doing

something we don’t understand. This is the role for “The Investigator”, to find out

all about the background of the story, the characters and locations. Turn your

story into an information text!

You should research using other books, the internet, or interviewing someone you

think knows about the subject. Don’t forget to site your source!

You may decide to write your information on the blog, create a poster, short movie (bring in on a USB), create a mini-book….up

Admongo – Lit Club

For Lit Club this week you will go to the Admongo website and play the advertising game to get an ‘Ad-ucation’.

If you finish the game early I would like you to write a reflection in your semester book about what you learnt. Include as many things as you can. You may like to use dot points for this. Remember to include detail!
