Cows that go Moo

Hi boys

After our discussion today I would like you to have another go at ‘The Investigator’ role. Think about what we talked about:

* Selecting a specific topic from your book to research

* Summarising the information after you have done some research

* Creating an information piece in your own words and NOT cut and paste

**Any questions don’t forgot to ask me! : )

Here is the instructions again….

THE INVESTIGATOR

Many times when we read, we encounter new and unfamiliar ideas. It might be a

location, it might be a time period, it might be someone’s job or a way of doing

something we don’t understand. This is the role for “The Investigator”, to find out

all about the background of the story, the characters and locations. Turn your

story into an information text!

You should research using other books, the internet, or interviewing someone you

think knows about the subject. Don’t forget to site your source!

You may decide to write your information on the blog, create a poster, short movie (bring in on a USB), create a mini-book….up

  1. Hi CTGM,
This time Í read the book again and I realized that I had a habit of skippping things I didn’t know and not researchng it.
These are some of the words I don’t know, Sica, Sicarii.
A Sica is apparantly a dangerous weapon witha curved edge. The daggers shape was designed to get around the sides of an opponent’s shield, and stab or slash them in the back.
Sicarii as the book said is another word for dagger men.The sicarii caeried small daggers (sica) under their cloaks and in public gatherings pulled them out and killed the roman sympathizers.
